The country’s national parks, game reserves, and conservation areas protect endangered species, maintain ecological balance, and support sustainable tourism. Managing these areas requires balancing conservation with local community needs and addressing challenges like poaching and climate change. Mapping protected areas will contribute to global conservation efforts, aligning with the IPBES 2022 goal of effectively conserving 30% of land and water areas by 2030.
